These Christmas Grinch fruit skewers, also known as grape Grinches, Grinch skewers, Grinch kabobs and Christmas skewers, are super easy to make, taste delicious and look fun and festive. Children and adults both love this cute Christmas fruit idea.

Fruit Grinch hats are a delicious way to balance all the usual sugary Christmas recipes with a refreshing, delicious and nutritious cute Christmas snack. Strawberries are at their peak sweetness and ripeness in Australia during the Christmas season and thus tasting their best at this time of year.

These healthy Grinch treats are our favourite Grinch themed snacks to make. Assembling Grinch fruit sticks each December is a fun Christmas activity my kids always look forward to. They love threading the fruit onto the toothpicks.

How To Make Christmas Grinch Fruit Skewers

Grinch Fruit Skewer Ingredients

  • 20 Strawberries
  • 20 Green Grapes
  • 2 Bananas
  • 20 Mini White Marshmallows
  • 20 Toothpicks

How To Make Easy Grinch Skewers

Step 1 – Prepare The Fruit

Wash and dry the strawberries and grapes.

Cut the stem end off all the strawberries.

Peel and then cut each banana into 10 round slices.

Step 2 – Assemble The Grinch Fruit Snacks

Slide a green grape onto the toothpick, followed by a slice of banana, a strawberry and then a mini white marshmallow.

Repeat until you have made the number of fruit Grinches that you need.

Step 3 – Enjoy!

Christmas Skewers Recipe Tips

Make sure your strawberries are ripe for maximum flavour and sweetness.

Drizzle some lemon onto the banana slices to prevent them from going brown.

If you don’t like bananas you can cut a large marshmallow into thirds and use a round marshmallow slice instead of a banana slice.

These Christmas fruit skewers are best eaten as soon after making them as possible.

Grinch Fruit Skewers

Grinch Fruit Skewers are a fun and festive healthy Christmas snack.

They are perfect for a December after school snack, Grinch movie watching snack or Christmas party.

Ingredients

  • 20 Strawberries
  • 20 Green Grapes
  • 2 Bananas
  • 20 Mini White Marshmallows
  • 20 Toothpicks

Instructions

1. Wash and dry the strawberries and grapes.

2. Cut the end off the strawberries.

3. Peel and cut the bananas into 10 round slices each.

3. Thread a grape, followed by a banana slice, a strawberry and mini marshmallow onto each toothpick.

4. ENJOY!

Notes

Use seedless grapes.

Choose small strawberries with a pointy hat-like shape.

Place the mini marshmallow horizontally so it looks like a pompom.

Make skewers as close to serving time as possible.

You can put some lemon juice on the banana slices to prevent them from browning.
