A Christmas Carol – Ensemble Theatre, Kirribilli
A Christmas Carol is a not to be missed Sydney Christmas show on at the Ensemble Theatre in Kirribilli. Renowned Australian actor John Bell plays penny pinching Ebenezer Scrooge in a delightful reimagining of this classic Charles Dickens Christmas story. It is a fabulous family Christmas show with music, pantomime and other surprises.

A Musical Christmas – Balmain Town Hall
This 50 minute Christmas concert is performed by The Metropolitan Orchestra (TMO) Cushion Concert Orchestra. It is recommended for ages 6 months to 8 years and will fill the audience with the sounds of Christmas as played by the orchestra.
Children will get a fun and engaging musical experience with a unique opportunity to see the instruments of a symphony orchestra up close.

One of the best kids Christmas shows 2022 for younger kids is the brand-new The Wiggles Holiday Party Big Show this December! This is an exciting Sydney Christmas children’s concert a lot of kids and their families have been waiting for. Join in the fun of this festive season in this exciting show by The Wiggles. The show will feature The Wiggles, their Wiggly friends including Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus, Shirley Shawn the Unicorn and Bok the hand puppet as well as dancers, Santa Claus, dancing reindeers and it will even snow on stage!

Christmas Pantomime Sydney 2022

This Christmas Pantomime is a very affordable fun-filled show full of catchy songs, costumes and characters performed at both Mona Vale and Dee Why this December.
Santa now has a magic cape and can make all the toys himself. Poor Rudolf and the elves are no longer needed. Seeing the power of the magic cape the scheming Daredevil Dan and Grumpy Gran plot to steal the cape.
This 45 minute Christmas Pantomime 2022 is a family event suitable for all ages although it is especially aimed at children aged 2 – 7 years old.

Colin Buchanan’s Big Christmas Concert – C3 Sydney Silverwater

Australia’s family favourite Colin Buchanan is back with a Big Christmas Concert. He’ll be “dashing through the bush in a rusty Holden ute” around Australia including Sydney.
There will be dancing, fun and mayhem as we all sing along with Colin’s songs – plus a few surprises! This is another of the best Christmas shows for kids in Sydney.

See Disney’s The Muppet Christmas Carol live in concert featuring its musical score performed live to the film.
The Muppets perform the classic Charles Dickens holiday tale with Kermit The Frog, Gonzo, Miss Piggy and Fozzie Bear in the main roles.
Scrooge receives visits from spirits of three Christmases, the past, present and future. They show him the error of his self-serving ways, but the miserable old man seems to be past any hope of redemption and happiness.

Human Nature have been rocking the Vegas strip for the past 13 years and now they are back to do a feel good Christmas Show in Sydney.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar – The Playhouse, Sydney Opera House
This is not a Christmas show as such but it is on during the festive season and kids will absolutely love it. Eric Carle’s much loved famous book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, is delightfully brought to life on the stage of The Playhouse theatre in the Sydney Opera House in a performance suitable for children aged 18 months and over, and their families.
The show includes over 75 magical puppets, including the star of the show, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and an Australian cast.
The show also features three other Eric Carle stories, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, Ten Little Rubber Ducks and The Very Busy Spider.
